testing the embed and mobile auto detect of the Kaltura video server. as well as the Crestron Capture HD

The Capture HD file is a 2min 30sec TS file.
Upload to Kaltura took just under 1 minute.

Set Kaltura to convert to all flavors (all browser and mobile device friendly.)
conversion took just under 2 minutes.
So from pressing record to clicking post on this blog my total time was: 6 minutes 13 seconds.

Not bad. Here's the result.

  1. Hi Jon, we are also using Crestron CaptureHD/Kaltura set up. I have an issue with audio. iMovie doesn't recognize audio at all. Just curious if you are having same problems..

    1. Are you using the capture HD to record to MPEG.TS or MP4? In the new firmware you can record directly to MP4 but there have been some audio issues.

I haven't brought them into iMovie yet but I can give it a shot later on in the week.

    2. Recording directly to MP4. I wrote to Crestron - they will look in to it. Hope they come up quickly with solution...
