Banh Mi

So I had my first Vietnamese Sandwich today. The "Banh Mi."
Here it is:


(this isn't actually MY sandwich. I was so hungry that I devoured mine before I remembered to snap a shot of it. But this is one from the place I ate at!)

And now I know what my wife is talking about when she says "Vietnamese sandwiches are sooo good!"

The fine establishment we visited for lunch was "Club Sandwich"
The Banh Mi had great flavor, crisp bread (not tough), fresh veggies, and was very filling and quite delicious.

Our table was also mistakenly graced with the presence of an extra beef short rib taco, which (after setting my eyes upon) I immediately called dibs. I'm not sure if I can say which I liked better, but I discussed it with Chad and he had a valid and dead-on observation. Club sandwich isn't the type of place where you're going to rant and rave about how AMAZING the food is (although it was really good.) It's more one of those places that'll stick with you, and a few days later you'll think "man, that sure was a good Banh Mi. I could go for one of those right now."

In fact, I could go for another myself!
